The buftor companies in the Manawata district have decicled to mahe a •nonthlv advanee pavment of 1/0$ for iinest grade The rate is a penny higher than last season V monthly advanee. whereas the new gunranteed priee is only eieven-sixteenths higher j The general opinion is that further mcreases in manufacturing costs are inevitable. Therefore it is evident that companies are advancing on a more iiberal scale, consequently the ro will be a lesser ahiount availablo for distribution as deferred paymeut at the end of tbc scason.
