Mangaorapa Institute

Home-nursing methods were explained in an interesting and helpful talk by Mrs Basil White at the monthly meeting of the Mangaorapa Women's Institute. Mrs Hope presided. The competitions for the afternooa were a miniature garden and any piece of embroidery. Mrs Connell and Mis Moroney judged the gardens# The result was: Mrs Hogg 1, Miss Joan Redward 2. In the class for Italian embroidery Mrs Hogg was first and Miss Lila Hansard 2. In th class for any piece of embroidery Mrs Basil White gained first and Miss Olga Thelwall second. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Noble and Miss July Moroney.
