WOMEN'S INSTITUTE MEETING AT WEBER

An instructivo demonstration of cushion-making was given by Mrs Culliford at the monthly meeting of tho Weber Women's Institute. The speaker illustrated diff-erent shapes and styles which could be used, her talk being carefully planned and the methods well explained. Mrs Culliford also guvo helpful hints on posy -making. Ske was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and was presented with a dainty shoulder spray. ( Mrs Franklin presided. The institute 's fiftli birthday was celebrated. and the meeting was largely attended, many visitors being present. The birthday cake, with its five candles, was cut by Mrs Hales. It was decorated with the initials of each member artistically embroidered in the icing. Mrs Armstrong, of Norsowood, contributed two songs. The cooipetitious, a bowl or vase of narcissi and an articlo from organdie were both won by Mrs Meyers.
