Tl/e death occurred on Sunday, at her jrcsidence^ 20 Monroo street, Napier, of | an old and well-known identity of Napier in the person of Mrs Ann Scoble, aged 70 years, relict of the late Mr Thomas Butler Scoble. i The la/.e Mre Scoble was-born at | Cornwall, England, and came out lo |New Zealand about 00 years ago and ; lived in Napier practically all tbat ! period, her husband, a carpenter " by j trade, being employed for many years by the Napier Harbour Board. To mourn their loss are two daughters, Mrs D. Wisliart, Napier, Mrs A. Couper, Te Kaiwhata; two sons, Mr T. Scoble, of England, and Mr H. H. Scoble, of Napier; tHree sisters, Mrs Stairord, Mrs Muir, of Gisborne, and Mrs J. Eddy, of Port Ahuriri, besides 11 grandchildren and two great-grand-cliildren, to whom the eympatliy of a wide circle of friends will be extended in their sad bereavement.
