Mrs A. Christie, of Havelock North is visiting Wellington. Mrs M. Bee, of Napier, is on a holidaj visit to Wellington. Miss Carlill, of Hastings, is still making satisfactory progress and there is every hope of her making a complete recovery. Mrs O. Johansen, Wairoa, is paying a visit to Napier. Miss Margery Turner-Williams is on a koliday visit to Marton. Mrs T. K. Baskeville, widow of the late Mr Walter J. Baskeville, for many years resident constable in Waipukurau, died recently iu Hastings at the age of 76 years.
