Kotemaori Institute

A talk on the League of Nations was given by Mr. Haigh at the monthly meeting of the Kotemaori Women 's Institute, over -which Mrs. Harris presided. , Mrs. McHardy, Y.O., gave a talk on institute matters and answered questions. Her demonstration on quilting was watched v/ith great interest. Mrs. Halliwell judged the following competitions: — Knittcd tea-cosy, Mrs. Foster 1, Mrs Harris 2, Mrs. L. Jones 3; home-made vase, Mrs. Harris 1, Mrs. Foster 2. Miss Joy Stewart was the winner of the parcel competition. Mrs. Bee read the Garden Circle report and stated that three trees had been planted at the school by members on Arbor'Day. The saies table articles were readily sold and afternoon tea was . dispicnsed by Mrs. Mclvay.
