WAIROA BRIDEGROOM MARRIED IN BALCLUTHA

INNES — CULBERT Spring flowers and blossom made! a pretty backgronnd for the wedding in the Balclutha Presbyterian Church, of William, only son of Mr and Mrs W. Innes, Wairoa, and Gwendolyn Mafy, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R-. W. Culbert, Balclutha. Ihe Rev. A. L, Millar officiated, Miss Thelma Sinclair presided at the organ. The bride entered the church with her father and wore a classical gown of heavy ivory needlerun lace over cream faille satin. The s'kirt was trained and a posy of orangp blossom finished the corsage in front. Her long veil of cream tuile, fell from a pleated halo with orange blossom on each side and she carried a sheaf of ajum lilies and freesias: The bridesnjaids . were Misses Vitla Murray, Balclutha.* and Margaret Mills of Dunedin. Both wero dressed alike in gowns of ecru Tace over faille satin. With these tbey wore .smart coatees of lyric green-lacquered satin. and satin flowers. completed the neckline of their frocks. They wore picture, bats of lyric greCn. gjreen shbes and cqilTied sheafs of spring .flowers. The little flower 'girl, Miss. Jean Cockerill, Balclutha, made a daiiity picture in her frock of lyric- greeulacquered satin. with stiffened net pleated frills on the cirquljr skirt. and small puff sleeves. She wqre. a_small cap of satin, grecn shoes and carried a small posy of primroses. , Messrs C, and L. George, Squthland, attended the groqm arid . Messrs R. C. Culbert and A.' Maze were . the ushers. Duringj' the sigriing of :the 'register Mr Lynn Guest ' sang the' solo, "My I'rayer." At the reception the. guests were received by tho bride's mother, who wore a navy ensemble of self-pattern-ed silk, with lace yoke. Her accessories were navy blue. Mrs Innes, the bridegrooin's mother, wore an ensemble in brown shade check noveity crepe, the coat and neckline of the frock heing outlined in pretty pointing. Both* carried posies of red anemones and narcissi respectively. Interspersed between tho toasts were solos by the Misses Vida Murray and Thelma Sinclair, the bride and Mr L. Guest. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Innes left by car i'or a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a model frock of navy English crepe de chine, relieved with biego and navy aeeessories. Their future home will be in Wairoa.
