Waipawa Lodge Meets. * -V9i. The fortnightly meeting of the Loval Abbotsford Lodge, Manchester Unity Oddfellows, was held in the lodgeroom, Waipawa, the N.G., Bro. N. MacPherson, presiding. Two new candidatcs were proposed for membership. -Bro. C. H. Arrow thanked the lodge for its congratulatory message on the diamond jubilee of his wedding. Station 2ZP Changes Hands. From yesterday, station 2ZP, formerly owned and operated by. Mr E. A. Perry, became State-owned. An announcement to this eft'ect was given at the opening of the breakfast sessior,. The 2Z Eadio Club is now dissolved, hut no change will be made in the sehedules. A charge of 1/- is to bo made for birthday calls, the funds -gfe ing to the children 's fund, for which Mr D. II. Withers has been appointed trustee. The appointment of Mr Pcrry as director is confirmed. Young Farmers' Club. The monthly meeting of the Wairoa Young Farmers' Club was presided over by Mr E-. J. Powdrell. Arrnugoments were completed for the field day to be held at Mr T. L. Powdrell 's property, Turiroa. Mr Hudson, stock inspector, spoke on "Eoaring and carmg for young calves," and "Hiseases for which farmers may receivo compensation." Piano For Rissington Hall. The Eissington Hall Committee met recently, all nvembers being present. A piano ' has been purchased and the committee "extend thanks to the many helpers who assisted in obtaining tbis, especially the Women 's Institute and Mr Les Henry, who started the piano fund and with his orchestra, provided musm free of charge for a successf'Ail dance, which greatly added to the fund. The piano has been handed over to the hall free of debt.
