Splendid List of Trophies Tliere are few ngricultural societies in the Dominion so well provided with valuable trophies in all sections as is tho Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society. In the liorse scotion there it the Clydesdale section, the Mr J. C. Baird's cup, Mr J. W. Harding's cnp, and Hoadley, Son and Stewart's cup, and in the light horse section, the Morrin Shieltl, three challenge cups and m silver medal as well as the championships and elass prizes. The trophies in a cattle section inclnde the W. T. Williams challenge cup, value 40 guineas, Hawke's Bay Abei«deen Angus Cattle Breeders' silver saJver, value '35 guineas, N.Z. Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders' Assoeiation's two silver cups. Mr B. M. Kessell's cup, Andrew Breen JVJemorial cup for milking Shortliorns, Mr F. L. Bone's three challenge cups, Mr J. Gvaham's challenge cup, Mrs T. Miller's challenge cnp, Mr E. Wall's challenge cup, Mr R. E. Hunt's challenge cup, National Tobacco Company's challenge cup, Heretaunga Co-op. Dairy Company's cup, Mr H. Hitelieock's challenge cup, Messrs Thos. Borthwick and Sons' challenge cup, Shorthorn Society of Great Britain and Ireland' s gold medal, New Zealand Friesian Assoeiation's gold medal and other trophies. For the sheep section the principal tropliy is the Sir Douglas McLean Perpetual Memorial Cnp, for most points m the stud slieep section. In addition to this tropliy is Mr R. J. Bell's challenge cup, value 30 guineas, Messrs Wilson, Canham and Company's challenge cup, Mr W. Georgetti's challenge cup, Co-operative Wholesale Society of Manchester's challenge eup, Messrs- Henry S. Fitter and Spns' two challenge cups, New Zealand Meat Producers Board's challenge shield, Mr R. Sutherlands challenge cup, value 20 guineas, New Zealand Southdown Sheep Society's gold medal. The-East Coast Challenge Cnp, open to exliibitors north oi tlie Mohaka rivcr and including the Wairoa and Poverty Bay districts, is another valuahle tropliy, to be won outright, and is for most points in liorse, cattle, sheep and, pigs, including light horses and competitions. Entries for all classes except the schools section close on Wednesday, September 29, at the society's office, Church Lane, Napier, or at Mr F. C. Wilkinson's office, Queen street, Hastings.
