TO-DAY'S RUGBY
Wellington v. Hawke's Bay at Napier LARGE CROWD PRESENT The weather was brilliant for the ]2th Rugby representative game played by Hawke's Bay this season, which tcok place at McLean Park, Napier, this afternoon. There was an attendanee. estimated at 5,000, shortly before Uie commencement of the game. Owing; to the faet that the Hawke's Bay side appears to have Iost form after a heavy representative programme this season some doubt exists whetlier they will be able to defeat Wellington. Their medioere showing in Thursday' s game indicates that they may go down but against this is the fact that the players will be eager to wipe out the 25—0 defeat suffered at the hands of Wellington last season, and al&o that their players will be intensely keen to be selected to play against the Springboks on Wednesday. The ground is in perfect order, and the turf crisp, giving every indication of a fast encounter. A fresk easterly breeze is blowing. Following are the teams: — HAWKE'S BAY, Full back: M. Dyer. Three-quarters. Robins -Apsey Devine and Herbert Five-eigjhths. Reid Bradley. Half-back : Clothier or Moss Forwards: Back row: Johnson.
