« ** ■» People Killed by Falling Tree YACHTSMEN MAROONED — — — (Received 11, 1.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 10. During yesterday's gale at Dover a falling tree crashed and killed several x^eople. Houses were endangered when roofs were torn off and widespread damage was done. Five people were marooned on the Seal Rocks when a yacht was driven aground and wrecked. Tlicy are living with the lighthouse keeper until it is jjossible to talce them to the mainland. Snow fell in the Blue Mountains, and a cold snap, following warm daj's resulted in serious losses of sheep. A number of small craft were wreck ed in Sydney harbour, the shores of which were littered with timber from capsized lighters.
