Parents' Meeting Carries Proposal To Merge Norsewood With Dannevirke

NORSEWOOD, Last Night. A proposal to eonsolidate the Norsewood District ELigh School with the Dannevirke High School was carried by a meeting of parents at Norsewood. Messrs W. OuthbertsoD ^Dannevirke) ^ members of the H.B Education Board, and Mr W. L. Dunu (secretary), spoke of the advantages of consolidation and the motion approving of auch a course was moved by Mr C-. Pouleen, chairman of the Norsewood School Committee, who presided. Only one person voted against the motion, thougfh a number did not vote either way. Next year the secondary pupils will be conveyed by 'bus to the Dannevirke High School. A 5 bus service conveying scholars from Te Rehunga and other distriets to the school was inaugurated last year.
