Special Issue of Herald- ; ' Tribu'ne Praised COMMENT FROM OVERSEAS

The interest taken by recipients of the special Herald-Tribune Coronation and jubilee issue, as noted by the Mayor, Mr G. A. Maddison, in the acknowledgements he had received from overseas towns, prompted Mm to suggest to tbe Hastings Borougb Council last evening that further efforti be done in tbis direction. Mr Maddison said that be had been greatly interested by tbe comment made in tbe acknowledgments be had received from mayurs of various towns and. offieials of organisations, particularly Rotary Clubs, overseas, as tbe result of tbeir baving been sent a coinplimentary copy of tbe special issue of tbe jubilee supplement and othev information concerning tbe development and progress of Hastings. "Tbis goodwill migbt well be fostored by baving a booklet about Hastings, and I would suggest. tbat tbe Hastings and District Progress League take up tbe matter," be said. "it would be quite a good and interesting way oi advertising1 Hastings and would tend to keep our borougb prominently beforo people in otber towns and countrieB."
