AUCKLAND, Last Night. The coincidence that the liners Awatea and Mariposa were to have left .Auckland for Sydney last Friday and that the Awatea and Monterey are due to leave Auckland on Oetober 1 for Sydney and the Awatea and Mariposa 011 Oetober 29 has been taken up with the Union Company by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which urges re-" vision of tlie itinerary so as to providd more steamer connections between Auckland and Sydney. ' « Tho Union Company, in replying, states that much eonsideration has been given to the lixing of sailings between Sydney, Auckland and Wellington, and that, having regard to all the factors, the present sailings were the best possible, Although it would be possible to even up sailings between Auckland and Sydney, the advantage so gained would be tb--tiie disadvantage of another sphere of the time-table.
