Health Insurance, National Superannuation mr'savage emphatic

WELLINGTON, Last Night, An ejuphatie statemgnt that the Government's national health insurance and superannuation prqposals would be given legislative effect during the apprpaching session of Parliament and that nothing would gtop tlie Goyernmept putting the scheme through wa® made by Mr. Savage in an interview , to -night. "Our object in introd\ieing this s&heme is to improve on conditions as they exist at the present time," Mr. 3avage said, "and I feel coufident the outcome will be a health and super- j annuation coverage that will. be j superior to anything else pn the earth. ! We eertainly intend to see this scheine put into operation during the coming session and nothing will stop us." Mr. Savage gave an assurance that, is far as humanly possible^ existing organisations dealing with insurance and superannuation would not be disrupted in the plang for co-ordinating them in the general acheme. While he was not jn a position to make a definite promise, he thought it might be possible fqr the Government to issue before the introduction of the legislation, in Parlianient a brpad Guthrie of what the sebeme invplved. He was anxieus, hewever, to avoid giving cause fqr ,any uselcss and abertive ccntreversy bef cre details of the scheme had been plaeed befpre the representatives of the people.
