SHORTAGE OF BUTTER
South Africa May Have to Import From N.Z. (Received 7, 11.5 a.m.) OAPETOWN, Sept. 6. Although the Dairy Control Board asserts that the position is exaggerated, dealers are convinced that butter must be imported from New Zealaud and Australia. The Government has arranged to issue butter to poor people at 6d per lb., exliausting reserves, Drought has reduced production.
