GERMANY APOLOGISES
Polish Catholic Offender (Received 7, S.45 a.iu.l WARSAW, Sept. 6, Dr. J. Goebbels, Nazi Propaganda Minister, has apologised to Polish Romgn Catliolios, who were inoensed by a writer in the Berlin Nazi paper Pgr Arbeitsmaun, describing a pictijre of the Viygin Mary in the famous Czestochowa. monastery as a mixture of uegro and Mongol types. The Polish Foreign Office protested. Dr. Goebbels ordered the German E111bassy to apologiise and promised to reprimand the joqrnalist and admonish the paper. Nevertheless, thonsands held meet- ] iugs §nd passed anti-Nazi resolutiona.
