INVERCARGILL, Last Night. Following are the teams for Wednesday's match between the Springboks and Southland: — Springboks. Baeks, Brand, Lawton, Babrow, Hofmevr, Lochner, Lyster, van de Vyver, do Villiers; forwards, Fanie Louw, Lotz, Martin, Strachan, Nel, van den Berg, van Eeencn, du Toit. One' threc-quarter is to be dropped. Southland. Full-back, A. W. Wesnoy; threcquarters, A. G. Sutherland, N. A. Mitehell, E. Oalvert; five-eighths, S. P. Thomas, P. Gracc; half-back, J. Purdue; forwards, C. George, J. Mattingly, V. L. George, Mieele, E. E. Chesterman, N. B. Irwin, E. H. Ward, J. Hamilton, W. L. Crawford. If Mitchell is unable to play, Wesney will be played at centre and G. Sylvester at full-back. After ten days of warm sunny weather the ground at Rugby Park is in wonderful order, and when the Springboks, who arrived at 1 o 'clock, were practising there this afternoon dust was seen to rise in places. The manager of the tSpringbok team, Mr. P. Day, said to-night that, owing to the faet that numerous telegrams of congratulation on Saturday's victory were talcen apparently by some unknown person from the Springbok team's privato sitting room in Christchurch, he regretted he was unable to follow his usual practice of acknowledging them individually. He wished the senders to know that the messages were much appreciated by himself and the team.
