NAPIER DISTRIBUTION
In the Napier district the free-milk system was introdueM by a short ceremony at the NJpier Intermediate School. Here short addresses were given by Mr. J. McLean, chairman of the Napier Intermediate School Committee, the Yery Rev. Dean Holley, Mr. J. A. Edmundson, Chairman of the Napier Secondary Education Board, and by Mr. C. O. Morse, Mayor of Napier, all of whom referred to the importance of milk in the dietary of ihe people, especially of growing children, and emphasiscd the fact that the building up cf a sound and healthy body was of the first importance in education, as well as in the welfare of the community. Tribute was paid to the eollaboration of the Health and Education Departments in establishing the system. At the conclusion of his remarks, the Mayor drank a bottle of milk, after which the children were dismissed to the various elassrooms, where they also partook of their milk ration. Among those present were Mr Lane, veterinary research officer, Mr E. Grant, borough health officer, Mr W. L. Dunn, secretary of the Napier Secondary Education Board, Mr I.aker, member of the board, and Mr W. J. Ireland, secretary of the Milk Council.
