Doctor G. McLean and Mrs McLean, Wellington, are visiting Waipukurau. = Mrs H. Hewitt, Wellington, is visiting Mrs W. Gray, Waipukurau. Miss D. Cameron, Gisborne, has been appointed to the Takapau school staif. She succeeds Miss T. Hussey, who has been transferred to Napier. Miss Cameron took up her new duties this morning. 'Mrs Barrow, an old resident of Takapau, has sold her residence and after a holiday, proposes to settle down m Palmerston jforth. Mr and Mrs Blackwell and family, have been spending tlie scliool holidays with Mrs Blackwell's parents, Mr and Mrs W. Jackson, snr., Kaiangia Pai. Takapau. Constable J. Ryan, Ormondville, has recovered from his recent illnesa and has resumed duty. Mrs D Wilson and her daugur, »v, Miss Nancv Wilson, have returo :d to Ormondville after spending a holiday in Napier as the guests of the Rev. H. and Mrs Klingender. Mrs P. G. Burton, Ruatoria, has been the guest of Constable and Mrs J. Ryan, Ormondville. . Mr Alan Hosking, of the staff of the Central School, Napier has returned, after spending the vacation at his home in Ormondville. Mr and Mrs L. Schwabe have returned to Norsewood after spending the term holidays with the former's parents, Mr and Mrs P. Schwabe, Gisborne. Mr Nielson, headmaster of the Makotuku School, has returned after spending ths holidays at his home at Havelock Nortli. Aliss Gaze, assistant tenelier at tlie Makotuku School, has returned after spending tho term holidays with her puL'ents at Wanganui.
