SECRETARY RETIRES

Mr J. E. Gleadow, of Napier Park Racing Club LONG TERM OF SERVICE IMr J. E. Gleadow, \vho has been secretary of the Napier Park Racing Club for a period of 34 years, has resigned liis position with that body. Mr Gleadow succeeded Mr A. T. Danvers, who was the club's iirst secretary, and also for many years its handicapper. Mr Gleadow 's long term of service ia a tribute to his zealous and conscieutious performance of his duties, and during his long term as secretary he has gaiued the respect of owners, trainers, etc., as woll as the public, and his decision to retire will be regretted by many of those who have been associated with him in various ways during his sceretarysliip.
