"" Warspite Unable to Sail for Mediterranean
RUGBY, Sept. 2. It was officially announced at Portsmouth to-day that tho sailing of H.M.S. Warspite for the Mediterranean to take up duties as flagship of the Commander-in-Uhief has been ppstponed o>ving to defeota iu her maehinery. A cable message dated August 25 stated; "The report of the Court of Inquiry into a lhisunderstanding which" aroso last June in reference to weekend leave in the Warspite -indieates that the disoipline of certain ratings on that occasion was unsatisfaetory, It also ishows that the handling of tho situation was not entirely satisfactory. The Aclmiralty has issuod orders for the removal of ratings numbering not moro than nine or ten from that ship tp other ships. It has also given instructions for two or three men to be dicharged from the Navy, their services being no longor requircd. lAirther, the. Aclmiralty has decided that it is necessary to relieve from their appointments three of the officcrs of the ship. The diseipline on tho Warspite is now entirely satisfactory.' '
