Hawke's Bay Tournament Opens on Tuesday The Hawke's Bay nmateur golf championship will begin at Waiohiki on Tuesday nest, under the auispices of the Napier Golf Club. The course is in wonderfial order as a result of the rain during the past week^ and it is anticipated that the good condition of the course will make for very good seoring. Excellent entribs are being received from both local players and visitors. *H. J. Longstafir, .the holder of the championship, will -be def ending his title. A notable entry is that of H. D. Brinsden, the scratch golfer, of Auckland, who last week won - the Rotorua champion'ship and has also won two other champi.onships iu the Waikato recently. He will be a strong conteuder for the championship. The leading local players wiU beawell represented, and it is anticipated that officials of the club will have a very large entry to h'andle.
