Small Car Crashes Into Pole MIDNIGHT ACCIDENT $

AUCKLAND, This Day. A small saloon rental car was damaged beyond repair and the four young oceupants seriously injured when the vehicle crashed into a power pole shortly after midnight in Three Kings road, opposite Rewa road. Mount Roskill. The names of those injured are: — MR MICHAEL KYNE, aged 23, of Parnell, the driver of the car; condition serious. MISS DOROTHY DAVIES, aged 22, of Gisborne; condition serious. MR DOUGLAS PETERSON, aged 23, of Mount Eden; out of danger. MISS JOYGE WH1TE, aged 19. of Gisborne; condition satisfactory. It is probable that the car skidded ou the slippery concrete road, craehiug into the power poie on the bend. The crash was heard by residents for a eonsiderable distance away, who summoned a doctor. Two ambulances took the injured people to hospital. All four suffered head injuries and concuaaion.
