Spring Racing at Sydney MANY GOING TO MELBOURNE (Received 3, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept 3. The Daily Telegraph, in drawing attention to the small number of New Zealand horses visiting S(ydne.y this spring, says that until a year or two ago it was usual for from 30 to 40 New Zealand horses to come to Sydney, but that the position has" changed now and that mo§t visitors go straight to Melbourne. "Australian racing, particuJarly in Sydney , has lost its attraction for New Zealand owners," the paper adds. "A few years ago they became so used to sweeping the board at our big meetings that they started to bring over all sorts of rubbish, thinking that they could repeat the performance. They went home disappointed and badly out of pocket. "New Zealanders have now come to the conclusion that Victoria, with its non-proprietary clubs, has more to otfer in the way of prize money than New South "VVales ''
