Japanese Brigadier-General Killed HEADQUARTERS CAPTURED

WELLINGTON, This Day. Cabled 'advice has been received by tho Chinese consul from Nanking stating that severe fighting raged all day in the Woosung-Lotien region. Covered by heavy artillery fire, the Chinese captured the Japanese temporary field headauarters at Lotien, where the Japanese suffored heavy casualties, including one brigade-commandcr and several high officers.
