CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. _ "I am going to be quite frank. it is too much to expect that the Government will put a hole througb that hill without taking stock of what it is going to cost the Lyttelton Harbour Board. It is also too much to expect that the Covernment is going to find all the nioney." This was the reply of the Prinio Minister, Mr M. J. Savage, to a deputation which waited on him to-day asking for the construction of a tunnel road bctweeu Christchurch and the port.
