Tbe monthly meeting of tbe Taradale and district Public Library Committec was beld last niglit. Present: Mi.sses M. Matkeson and T. James, Messrs R. Brown cbair), W. Jarvis, R. Willis, J. A. Wilkinson, F. O. Anderson, A. Blair, C. H. Williams, F. Wiseman, " J. B. WainscoU, J. Williamson (escretary). Apologies for ahsence were recCived from Mrs Gartly and Mr T. B. McDon-a-ld, wbo was indisposed. The secretary reported tbat he had favourable quotation for shelf-clips. Mr A. Bean had in tbe meantime offered to do them free of ckarge and lie was accorded a hcartv vote -of thn.nlcs by acclamation. It was left with tbe sub-committee to still further investigate matter re fui*ther sbelving accommodatioii.
