Death of Mr* T. Sheenan Tbe death occurred on Monday at the Auckland Hospital of Mr. Tbomas Sbceban, widcly known in racing circles i'or over 50 yeurs, first as a joekey and later as an owner and trainer. He rode Kosciusko to victory in the Grand NationaL Steeplechase in 1S83, and was on the runncr-up, Barbary, wbon Tbe Agent scored liis last victory tbe following year. He was also on tbe favourite, Ravenswood, when Moody won in 1885. Among tbe ' earliest whom Mr. Sbeeban raeed was tbe successful mare, Psycbe, from wbom he bred Vogengang, winner as a two-year-old of tbe Middle Park Plate, beating Stepniak, the C.J.C. Cbampagne Stakes, and later of many other races. Other winners for him were Merrymaker, Antigone, Te Taiba, Passionate, Greek Maid and Greek Son.
