CHlvClTCHURCH, Last Night. The New Zealand Rugby team to play South Africa in the second Test match at Lancaster Park on Saturday was annonnced to-day by the New Zealand Rugby Union. Changes in the two forward packs give the Springboks an advantage of 91b. a man in weight, compared witih their advantage of 4£lb. a man in the first Test. Ward suffered an ankle injury during the recent northern tour of the Southland team, and althogh it did not prevent him from training on Tuesday and Wednesday, a med'ical examination to-day showed that ihe was not sound enough for consideration for the linal team. The Springboks arrived tkis evening in Christchurch from Timaru, where they ihave been training for the Test. The manager (Mr. P. W. Day) said that the team could not be stated any more definitely than was published this morning. The choice of half-backs and centre three-quarters would depend on the weather and state of the ground and would not be made until shortJy before the biateh. To-day 's weather and forecast for tomorrow are not yet encouraging for the South African Rugby team's hopes for a firm ground and a dry ball. Light rain, at times almost a Scotch mist, has fallen since Monday, and altihough the total fall in inches is not very conBiderable, it is almost certain to make the ground heavy for the match. Both teams have now practically completed their training for the match. Tbe All Blacks, taking advantage of a temporary improvement in the weather tbis afternoon, beld their first outdoor practice on tbe Rawhiti recreation ground at New Brighton. Both teams will havo a ligbt day to-morrow. The players are reported fit, although T. A. Harris' leg injury will havo to be examined again by the doctor before the Springbok sejectors make a final choice. It is expected that the decision will not be made. until witkin an hour or two of the gaxne. The CantQrbury Rugby Union has made all possiblc arrangements for the handling of the crowd, which may excccd 40,000. at
