FRANCE PLACES BAN ON GAMING MACHINES
(Received 2, 11.40 a.m.) PARIS, Sept. 1. A sudden Government decree orctei's the removal of all gamlng slot-machines from eafes and other places within 24 hurs. Many thousands of machines were imported from the United States last year allegedly involving racketeering, also costing the guileless public spectacular sums.
