ORMONDVILLE, Last Night. Mr. Allan Hyde has taken over the property owned by Mr. W. S. Barnes, situated at the Whetukura-Papatu crossroads. Mr. David Adamson has purchased the liouse in Whetukura owned by Mrs. A. V. Berkakn, aud will be moving in to it with his iVjulv early in the luonlh. New School Houso. In view of the school-house being in suck a dilapidated condition, the Hawke's Bay Education Board has decided to erect a now residence in its place. The architect is to nieet tlie chairman of the School Committee, Mr. H. J. Newling, and Mr. W. Cutkbertson, of the Education Board, one day this week in order to seleet a suit^-ie site. Lodge Meeting. The quarterly ' summoned meeting of tlie Loyal Eorest Home Lodge, the Noble Grand, Bro. W. II. Haycock, presided over a good attendance. Siek pay and accounts amounting to £S-i were passed for payment. Aaiong the correspon,dence was au oppcal from the Makogai Leper Station, and after some discussion it was decided to send a donation of thrce guineas from the benevolent fund. A letter was receivcd from tlie Dannevirke FrieiidJy Societies' Council renarding tlie Coronation cot in ihe Dannevirke Hospital.
