Miss L. Campbeli has been appointed to the position of assistant teacher at tlie Ormondville School. Miss June Fourneau, of Pakowhai, is on a visit to Norsewood, wliere she is tlie guest of Mrs and Miss Brabazon, of Oakleigh. Miss Dorothy Gaze, of Feilding, is spending a holiday with i'riends at, Norsewood, Mr Jack Brickell, an old resident of Norsewood and now residing at Wanganui, has been on a visit to friends in tlie township. Mr W. Innes, electrical engineer to the Wairoa Borough Council, has eompleted 25 years' service witb the council. Miss Molly Gemmell, Wairoa, is visiting friends in Rotorua and Auckland. Mr H. Dyson, officer in charge of the Placement Of&ce, Napier, has been visiting Wairoa, in connection with the placement scheme. Mr O. H. Weston, K.C., is to represent the Wairoa Borough Council at the Arbitration Court proceedings afc Wellington on September 21 in the eleetricity-supply dispute.
