" ^ Miss lvena Potham has returned vto Hastings from Palmerston North where she took part in the Manawatu competitions in which she was successful in both dancing and elocution sections. Miss Potham received 16 mentions which included 0 firsts and the dancing and elocution championship cups. Bhe received 96 marks out of the possible 100 for her eccentric dance, the judge remarking that these were the highest marks she had ever given. Mrs H. J. Butler, of Auckland, is on a visit to Hastings as the guest of Mrs N. I. Greig, St. Aubyn street West.
