Angio-Canadian Trade Treaty

RUGBY Aug. 31. ' The trade agreement between Britain nnd Canada which was signed in February comes into operation to-morrow. The new treaty secures free entry into Canada of about 30 per ■ cent. of imports from Britain and lower duties on goods accounting for about 40 per cent. by valuo of tho total imports of United Kingdom goods, including woollou and cotton textiles. There are also clauses to protcet consumers against exploitation and to prcvent dumping.
