AUCKLAND, Last Night. ' Private hotel tariffs in Auckland will Je raised from to-day by 10 per cent* It is understood that similar action is likely to be taken by proprietors in southern centres. In a letter to the proprietors, the secretary of tbe Auckland Provincial Hotel Proprietors' Association states thaj) the question was discussed at the general meeting of members on Thursday last, when it was unanimously agreed to increase all rates by 10 per cent from August 31.
