Small - Store Sheep Entry last week's values 1mpr0ve The smallest yarding of store sheep for the past 30 years was made at Stortford Lodge to-day, when only 450 wero penned. The few pens offered sold readily at values showing an improvement on last week's rates. Woolly wether hoggets, fairly grown, realised 27/6. Some of the small grown pens cnacle dear buying. The following pens were sold:— An entry of 133 medium-grown Romney wether hoggets, in medium to rorward order and not heavy in the wool, brought 25/6. A line of 93 better grown Romney wether hoggets, in forward order and well woolled, brought to 27/6. A small to medium grown line oi similar-bred hoggets, unshorn as lanibi and in aiedium order, sold at 24/-. A line of mixed sex Southdown cross hogegts, in medium order, were dear buying at 24/10. A line of aged fattening ewes,. in fair store order, sold well at 18/1. An entry of mixed aged ewes (i.l. Leicester) made 27/1. These tewes wero in rather low condition.
