QUIET WEDDING IN HASTINGS RECENTLY
McKjEESIjCK — SINCLAIR *A quiet wedding took place on Saturday afternoon at the. Methodist Church, Hastings, which had been decorated with Spring flowers by friends of the bride when the Rev. R. B. Gosnell officiated at the marriage of Delma May, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Sinclair, of Warren street, I Hastings, and Warren Hastings) son of Mrs McKeesick and the lato Mr H. McKeesick, of Havelock road, Hastings. Miss Napier presided at the organ. During the ceremony the hymn "The Yoice that Breathed O'er Eden" was sung. The bride entered the church with her father and was smartly dressed in a costume of black and wkite check worn with a dainty white lace blouso and a black toque with black eye veil, She carried a bouquet of Scotch heiath violets, daphne and ferns. ' In attendance was one bridesmaid, Miss Norma Smith, cousin of the bride, who was frocked in navy blue taffetas, made on long flared lines, Navy Spring straw hat . and posy of Scotch heath, violets, daphno and maidenhair fern. Mr Pred Round carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony about 40 guests were received at the jfeception. The tables were decorated with vases of pink blossom and low set crystal bowls of violets. Mrs Sinclair, the bride's mother, wore a navy iloral ensemble and a navy hat, and carried a pretty posy .to tone. Mrs McKeesick, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy costume, with satin blouse, fur stole and navy hat, and her posy toned with her attire. Mr and Mrs McKeesick left by car for the honeymoon trip after which they will reside at Waikaremoana.
