Although a foot injury prqvented Miss Vida Hayes from competing in the open daneing championship at the Palmerston North competitions, she was successful in gaining four tirs^ts, one second and one third in open class, 14 and over, out of six entries. Miss Pothan won tlie championship, 14 to 18, and she and Vida Hayes won the duo with. 88 poiuts. Tlie uext cotui petitors received 81 poiutn.
