General Inference: The nortbern qyclone has made very slight eastward progress since yesterday, and this morning is centred north-east of Cape Maria van Dieman. Pressure is still high to the south and east of the South Island, but rather low over the south Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to strong southeasterly wind, reaching gale force in eome exposed positions. Weather: Dull and misty,. with heavy rain in p'laees. Seas: Rough to high. THE SUN.
