THE CHATEAU, Last ^ight. The ski sports were continued at tho 'weelt-end in peffect snow and weather conditions. The Euapehu Ski Club slaloni and open slalom races were held on a steep course whlieh taxed the competitors' strength and sldll to the fullest, the dfop being about 500 feet in a quarter of a mile. Tlie Langlauf course consisted of one long downhill run and then a climb of 1500 feet culminating in a steep descent to the finish. The results included: — Tararua Tramping Club's men's downhill. — A, McArthur (Wellington) 1, A. E. Wilson (Wellington) 2. The latter won the Tararua Tramping Club's ski championship shield. McArthur won the Macpherson downhill shield. Women 'b downhill.— Miss I. Ross 1, Miss C. McGredy 2. Euapehu Ski Club slalom. — J. D. Murphy (Taranaki). I. E. Duncan (Nelson) 2, H. A. Snowden (Taranaki) 3. Euapehu Ski Club open slalom. — O. Peterson (Ckatoau) 1, J. Loveridge (Ckateau) 2, C. Risberg (Chatean) 3. Ityiapehu Ski Club langlauf. — E. Duncan (Nelson), 30 minutes 51.4 seconds, 1; J. Murphy (Taranaki), 30 mimutes 55 seconds, 2. Eoped pairs. — Miss Joyce Harrison (Auckland), rOped with J. McComish (Auckland) 1; Miss Betty Macpherson (Palmerston North), roped with F. Martin- (Levorsen) 2. . Euapehu Ski Club women 's ski running championship. — Miss J. D. Harrison (Auckland) 1; Miss I.
