These are s ihe removal o£ -.Le stop fcank at George's Drive, aad thw formation of .a sunlcen sports and garden area on the Marine Parade. The commencement of this work means that four of the works approved by the L'a'oour Department following the discussions with Hawke's Bay local bodics of the department's officer^ Mr Walter Bromley, are now in progress, namely— the Kennedy road extension, the formation of the sunken area on the parade, the removal of the George's Drive stop bank and the making safe of the face of Bluff HilL "
