Prize-Winners' Entertaiament The Manawatu Competitions concluded on Saturday with an entertainment given by the prize-winners at which the special awards were then given out by Mr Mansford as follow: — Champion lady elocutionist: Miss Bernice Tremain (Lower Hutt), 18 points. Champion gentleman elocutionist: Mr Gordon Oates (P.N.), 15 points. Champion boy elocutionist: Douglas Carlyle (Dannevirke), 18 points. Champion girl elocutionist: Ivena Pothan (Hastings), 11 points. Champion lady vocalist: Miss M, Penketh (P.N.), 16 points. Dancing champions: Ivena Pothan (Hastings) and Ethne Hemmingsen (P.N.), equal, 10 points. National dancing champion: Pat Over (P.N.), 18 points. • Miss Gibbs' special silver cup for dancing (18 and over) : Miss Lorraine Major (P.N.), 18 points.
