The Daily Telegrapli's Hongkoug feorrespondent says it is reliably reported that Japanese warships are etopping and searcliing all ships off Swatow. The destroyer Delight is protecting British nationals at Foochow and will watcb any Japanese attempt to blockade the South-west coast. Mr Cordell Hull ,United States Secretary of State, announced at Washington, that' he had uotified China and Japan that he would liold .them responsible for daniage and injury to TJnited States property and nationals.
