WAIPAWA, Last Night. The annual match against the Mt. Herbert Golf Club was played on the Waipawa links during the week, botb clubs being well represented. Conditions, though slightly wet at times, made for good golf and some closely contested games resulted. The results are as follow, Waipawa players being mentioned first : — MEN Bryant lost to McKenzie. » Edwards beat Blair. Shackleford lost to Bliss. Witherow lost to Southerwood. Clark beat MacRae. Walker beat James. Strang beafc Burfield. G. Knoblock lost to Taylor; Petersen beat Bell; Dwight beat Findlay; J.Knoblock lost to Townsend; Jeffery lost to Rankin. • Waipawa 6; Mt. Herbert 7. WOMEN Mrs Strang beat Miss I. Butler. Miss Witherow lost 'to' Mrs Townsend. Mrs Edwards beat Mrs MacRae. Mrs Rathbohe lost to' Miss Blair.
