DANCE AT OMAKERE

Our Own Correspondent)

Bachelors and Spinsters

(From

OMAKERE, Last Night. The bachelors and spinsters of Omakere and district held their annual dance in the Omakere Hall. As in the past, no effort was spared in the decoration of the hall, the ceiling being laeed with yellow and black streamers and the walls decorated with dainty greenery and daffodils, the whole effect being very pleasing. Wi Duncan's orchestra of four instruments supplied the music. The balloon dance was won by Miss Harris and partner and the spot dance by Miss Janet Price and partner. Miss Price gave a good demonstration of tap dancing and received much applause. Great credit is due to Miss Janet Price, tlie secretary, and her energetic eommittee for the decorating of the hall and for the success of the evening.
