WAIROA, Last Night. The formation of a branch of the National Political Party was decided upon unanimously at a meeting convened in Wairoa last evening, the attendance being large and representative. The gathering was presided over by Mr G. de Y. Robins on, and was addressed by Messrs A. J. Nicol and L. T. Burnard, Gisborne, who dealt with the present political situation and the necessity for organisation of the various sections of the eommunity opposed to Soeialistie prineiples. A vote of confidence in the National Party, and in its leader, the Hon. A. Hamilton( was carried, and a strong eommittee was fonmed, with Mr J. J. Millar as honorary secretary. • A meeting of the coihmittee of the hranch was held at the elose of the general meeting.
