32 Railwaymen Shot UNUSUAL PpiSONING CASE (Received 28, 1.30 p.m.) MOSCOW, Aug 27. A woman bottle-washer named Vedenskaya, employed on the railways, was sentenced to death on a charge of putting sulphuric acid into water bottles. The poison was discoverei before anybody was Injured. An assistant bottle-washer was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. Secret police state that Vedenskaya once married a Polish noble and remained in touch with her husband's country. Thirty-two railwaymen, described as Trotsky terrorists, were executed at Irkutsk on charges of sgbotaging the railways, gathering military information for Japan and also plotting to assassinate Soviet Jeaders.
