NEW PLANE FOR H.B.

Aero Club's Hornet Moth Arrives A New two-seater plane has been acquired by the Hawke's Bay and East Coast Aero Olub. The plane arrived in Hastings yesterday piloted by the club's instructor, Mr E. Harvie. The inachine is a Pe Havilland Hornet Moth, model 87B, and is the only machine of its type in the country. The plane is equipped withi wheel brakes, air brakes and has a tail wheel. It has a range of 680 miles, a top speed of 124 miles an hour, a eruising speed of 108 miles an hour, and lands at 40 miles an hour. It is a cabin machine with side-by-side seating, this enabling the instructor to give flying tuition in a much more effective way than is possible with tandem cockpits. *The machine will be used for training, and for cross-coUntry fliglits by the more-advanced pilots of the club.
