Mr H. Crichton, manager of Swifts (N.Z.), Lta., Wairoa, is on a visit to Hastings. Dr E. B. Gunson, who has been on a six months' visit to Great Britain and tbe Continent, will return to Auckland by tbe Awatea on Monday. Mr. W. Tucker, representative of the Clive Riding on the Hawke's Bay County Council, has been elected a member of the executive council of the New Zealand Counties' Assoeiation at the biennial conference which was held in Wellington. Mr. A. E. Jull, of Waipawa, was elected a member of the executive council in. an advisory capacity of the New Zealand Counties' Assoeiation at the biennial conference held in Wellington. Mr A. G. Lunn, ot Auckland, has been nominated for the position of president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand. The nomination was made by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce at its last meeting. Mr J. A. West, manager of the Dargaville branch of the Natiohal Bank of New Zea'iand, has receiyed notice of his promotion to the managership of the Palmerston North branch. Mr West, who joined tne bank's service in Auckland, was appointed manager of the Whangarei branch in 1922, and in November, 1932, took charge of the Dargaville branch. . Mr 0. R. Mazengarb, manager' of the Mosgiel branch, is being transferred to Dargaville to succeed Mr West.
